When is the Best Time to Visit Hawaii?

The weather and the ocean are the biggest draw to this beautiful island, so which season is right for you?

Peak Season: Mid December – Mid March; Late May – August:

The height of peak season is mid December through mid-March when Hawaii weather is pleasant and warm, hotel rates and airfare are at their highest.  Discounts typically disappear during this season as well, so if you are on a budget this may not be the time to get the most from the vacation.  If you are coming as a large g

roup or need special accommodations this may be more difficult to accomplish during this season.  Expect the beaches to be crowded as they trade their winter clothing for swimming suits and suntan lotion.

Off Season: Early September – Mid November:

This is the season for discounted airline tickets, which can begin as early as the beginning of August.  This discount can be as much as 40% off the peak season prices.  This is the best time to visit Hawaii, the weather is still wonderful, the beaches and attractions are less busy, and special accommodations are easier to arrange.

Shoulder Season: Early April – Late May:

Shoulder season is also a great season to visit for many people.  This is after Spring Break and before summer.  It is a quieter season and welcomes mature crowds and childless couples.
